Before and After
Flick the switch and hear the same song before and after it came through here. Nothing to install and nothing to sign up for, just decent headphones if you have them.
Why Bother
Enough! The guy who sold you the "get good at mixing in six hours" course was lying. It takes years of practice to reach the point where great mixes happen every single time, and while you might well get there one day, right now you have a song that deserves its best shot.
I've been exactly where you are, so close to a song that you can't really hear it any more. You know the music is good, but it sounds flat, the vocal has wandered off somewhere behind the guitars and the drums have all the menace of a damp biscuit. That's usually the moment to let someone else have a listen, and the first listen here costs you nothing.
More Than Just a Mix
That's where the MixGenie special sauce comes in. I'm a producer as well as a mix engineer, so I'm happy to nudge a song towards how you meant it to be rather than how it happened to come out. A better kick drum, a drop that actually drops, some nice piano tucked under the chorus. It's all possible, and I'll keep leaning into it until it's right.

Pricing
If you're on this page you're probably unsigned, and that means great rates. Every price is listed up front, and if you'd rather I just told you what your song needs, the free mix check does exactly that.

$120 per song
Five songs or more takes 10% off everything, automatically at checkout, and I'll make it sound like one record rather than twelve strangers sharing a playlist. For custom pricing or anything else, just ask.
Full song production, from a voice memo or an idea to a finished track, lives at my sister studio, SongGenie.
How It Works
Time to back yourself and get that music out there.
Send me the song and I'll tell you honestly what it needs, which is sometimes less than you'd think.
Tell me what you love, what's bugging you and which records you want it to sit next to, then send the stems over.
You listen, you tell me what's not quite there, and we keep going until it sounds like the record in your head.
Testimonials
Over a decade of mixing and mastering, and a gratifying number of people saying nice things about it in public.
Max is an incredible partner. He listens, makes sure he understands what you're going for, and then delivers. Importantly to me, he also isn't afraid to give you constructive criticism or push back on a suggestion when it's not what the song needs. That is super important to me as someone who aspires to be professional. Very pleased with the outcome!
For this 6th collaboration, Max once again did an amazing job. Each aspect of the song is improved quite a lot in the final mix which sometimes makes me wonder if this is really the same tracks as the ones I provided, that's to say how good his skills are!
It was a pleasure working with Max! I hit him with a pretty difficult project. A one hour life performance with 18 tracks. He went the extra mile to make my requested specific edits and work some magic fixing the vocals. Also took the time to repair some issues we had with the original video. Highly recommended!
Excellent work once again! Max consistently delivers high-quality masters that enhance the song. Communication is clear, turnaround is fast, and the detailed notes explaining the mastering decisions are always appreciated.
Max is fantastic to work with. He knows how to push and improve and collaborate and does an excellent job and creating what I have in my head to a better degree. He also somehow manages to provide and take feedback and make things so smooth and easy.
I'm grateful every time I work with Max I know I'm getting incredibly expertise and beautiful enhancements from his analog equipment. That and the fact that he's so nice and friendly make me not want to ever look to anyone else for quality mastering. Max is the greatest.
Wow!!!! Max did a tremendous job considering I was unable to provide the stem tracks! He completely gave me the sound I always wanted on this track and I couldn't be more pleased!!!! This fellow is top notch! Definitely will be working with him again!
Max was an excellent person to work with and I would highly consider getting back in touch with him for future projects. Really gave my song the boost it needed to bring it life and get it ready for distribution and streaming.
Who You're Working With
Mixing is where a song gets its sound: the vocal at the right level, the bass and drums sitting tight on the groove, the right reverb in the right place. However great the song is, without the right balance and processing it isn't going to get a look in.
Every song is different, so I tailor what I do to what your mix actually needs. Sometimes that's classic analogue processing chains, sometimes it's newer tricks like AI enhancement or even AI re-voicing (yes, AI can sing your backing vocals now, and no, it doesn't ask for a rider).
Having done live mixing work for Bastille, The 1975, Years and Years and Jake Bugg, as well as countless studio mixes, I have the ears, the equipment and the patience to make you sound good. Whatever your style, I've probably done it before and I probably loved it.
No more waiting around for your engineer to be available. Upload and get started whenever you like.
Industry leading equipment and a lot of years behind the desk. Your sound, sorted.
Don't get blanked by your engineer ever again. I'm here, and I'm ready to go.
Also mixed and mastered for Eivind Husebø, The Beach, N'la and Left Keys, across pop, RnB and rock.
Think of it as the difference between bad coffee on a dull cloudy afternoon vs an Ice Cold Beer on a lovely Sunny Friday Evening.

Get Started
There are two easy ways in. Send me the song for a free, honest mix check, or drop me a message about what you're working on and I'll get back to you. Either way you're talking to me, not a ticket system.
